Oddthentic Reflections

Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.

When everything was breaking—CPTSD at full volume, divorce unraveling everything I thought I knew—my brothers and their wives showed up. Not in big, dramatic gestures. Just… quietly. Consistently.

They gave me space. A warm meal. A room where I didn’t have to perform wellness.
They didn’t ask me to explain what I didn’t have words for.
They just stayed.

That kind of presence? It does more than fix. It holds.

And my kids…
They were my gravity.
We’d go on walks, just to walk.
Looking for heart-shaped rocks like it was a game, but also maybe like we were looking for some kind of proof that love was still out there, somewhere.

They kept me here. Kept me human. Kept me going.

It wasn’t polished.
None of it was pretty.
But it was good. And it mattered.
